PRICES
Prices, like life, are subject to adjustments. As stated above, our staff works on the Euroupean Level System, therefore prices are different for different designers. For more information on our Designer Levels, please scroll to the bottom of the service menu.

SERVICE GUARANTEE
Our service providers are commited to their art, as well as serving you. If you are dissatisfied with a service you have received, please let us know . It could be something simple that can be remedied quickly by the same stylist, or you may find a better fit with another one of our service providers.
Due to the artistic nature of what we do, we do not offer refunds on services performed. However, we will work tirelessly to ensure satisfaction. Any request for revision must be made within 2 weeks of the original service date.

PRODUCT GUARANTEE
Liquid Tools: The Hair Company stands behind their chosen product lines 100%. If for any reason you are not happy, please return the unused (or barely used) bottle/jar within 30 days, and we will gladly exchange it or credit your account. This excludes sale or discontinued items.
Hard Tools: Tools such as flat-irons, curling irons, blow dryers, may be returned within 14 days of purchase providing the packaging and it’s contents are consistent with the date of original sale. All sales on brushes, hair accessories, or hair pieces are final.

ARRIVAL
Please arrive a few minutes early to allow yourself time to unwind, preview a possible new look, or catch up on the latest gossip in your favorite publication.
If you anticipate that you will be more than 10 minutes late, please call. It may be neccessary to re-adjust you appointment time. We will do our best to also contact you in the rare event that we are running behind.(Be sure we have all contact numbers on file)

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations or reservations made at least 24-48 hours in advance allows our team the opportunity to accommodate other guest, (especially those on our wait list), and will be greatly appreciated. Any no show appointments or chronic last minute cancellations, must be paid in full before any additional appointments or reservations will be honored. In the event that your service must be cancelled by us on the same day (ex. Stylist sick or emergency), there will be a $10 gift certificate waiting for you at our front desk, which may be use with that stylist on your next visit.

CELL PHONES
We strongly discourage the use of cell phones or two-ways in any of the service and/or coloring areas. We ask that you turn your cell phone off or to vibrate when you arrive.

CHILDREN
We gladly welcome children in our service area that are receiving services. Please remind your children to avoid running, spinning or climbing on chairs, or opening any closed drawers in the space. Most drawers contain sharp or hot objects and chemicals that could be potentially dangerous to unsuspecting children. Well behaved children are welcome to wait in our reception area with a supervising adult.

PAYMENT
The Hair Company accepts Visa, MasterCard, in-state personal checks, cash and valid gift cards & certificates for payment of products and/or services.

GRATUITIES
Gratuities are accepted and greatly appreciated. The Hair Company does not allow gratuities to be added to credit or debit cards.

(First time application, or regrowth more than 3/4") Whether you want to take a few years off by blending away gray, or you're looking for a fashionable new look, with the expertise of our colorist, you will get you the results you desire. Our Colorist will work with you to develop your custom color formulation following your color consultation.
Permanent haircolor uses dye molecules that interact with your hair's natural pigment to create a final haircolor. Permanent color won't rinse or wash out. Permanent haircolor can be used to lighten, darken, match natural hair color, for exceptional gray coverage or to create high fashion techniques.

A Glaze/Toner may be neccessary after foils or bleach to acheive the desired result. A Refresher is used to refresh faded ends while retouch color processes.

Perhaps you would like a second highlite color, or maybe a lowlite. Sometimes we would like a two tone effect on all over color. This is the service for you.

ADDITIONAL COLOR REQUIRED.....$10 PER 2 OUNCES
Typically a standard color application requires 1 1/2 to 2 ounces of color. If additional color is needed due to length and thickness of hair, there is an additional charge.

| ABOUT OUR LEVELS |
|
ASSOCIATE/APPRENTICE
At The Hair Company, an Associate is one who is working toward & earning their position as a Level 1 Stylist. Associates are either experienced stylists who have recognized the potential of being a designer at The Hair Company and has agreed to participate in our in-depth training program in order to become a designer, they are graduates of cosmetology school who have chosen to come to us for the opportunity of continuing education and professionalism before they start their career behind the chair, or they may be ‘Apprenticing’, which means they are receiving all of their training in the salon as opposed to traditional beauty school. In any case, all Associates are licensed by the State Board of Maryland to perform services on the general public. Our Associates receive more advanced training in the areas of technique, awareness, chemistry, creativity, communication, teamwork and professionalism than most experienced stylist in the industry.
Our Associates shadow our top level service providers. During the training program, they are learning how and what it means to achieve top designer levels. The program benefits you the guest, because our designers have a 'second set of hands' to give you optimal service. Through our Associate Program we are able to accomodate more of your service needs, and reduce waiting times for appointments. So in the event that you may need hilites, and you're only scheduled for a haircut, we can most likely take care of it. We always strive to provide excellent customer service. Our Associate Program is one more way fo us to do just that.

LEVEL 1 STYLIST
As graduates of the Associate Program, Level 1 Stylist in our salon have the experience equivalent to that of a 3-5 year veteran in other salons. Each Level 1 Stylist has any annual educaton schedule tailored to their specific needs.

LEVEL 2 DESIGNER
Designers are promoted to Level 2 upon reaching goals and standards set by our company. Level 2 Designers also have an annual custom education calender consisting of several workshops surrounding all facets of hairdressing. As they reach Level 2, they have climbed the next rung on thier career laddder.
|
LEVEL 3 MENTOR
As a Level 3, they have stepped into the 'Mentor' role. Becoming a Level 3 is one of the most difficult promotions to acheive. Their technical skills, knowledge of haircolor and principles, as well as their approach toward color formulation, application, and corrective color, play a key role at this level.
Level 3 are the 'Mentors' for our Associate through Level 2 Designer. They may occasionally enroll the help of an Associate.

LEVEL 4 EDUCATOR
In addition to completing all educational requirements, a Level 4 Educator has met very specific goals to acheive this promotion. Level 4 Educators typically have a 3 or more years experience at The Hair Company. If their guest count and the demand on their time warrants the need, they may hire an Associate.

LEVEL 5 & 6 ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Level 5-6 are the Artisitic Directors of The Hair Company. This is the highest position recognized at The Hair Company. They are the 'Directors of Education' in our salon. They work directly with one, or two Associates, as a 'Team'. That is to say that their Associates may perform tasks such as color applications & styling on guests as instructed by the Artistic Director. This system allows us the opportunity to be more accommodating to the specific needs of our guests.
If you are not comfortable working with a 'Team' of professionals led by one person, please make sure you choose a Level 1,2, or 3 to work with. They are also highly trained & competent, yet are not at a level to consistently enroll an Associate in their schedule. |
